If you are a salmon / sashimi lover, this is a MUST-GO.
Located about 10 minutes walk from Ximending Station Exit 1, it is relatively easy to find. Note the opening hours at the bottom. If you don't wish to queue much, go earlier and wait for the the doors to open. If not, be prepared to queue and watch people eat and endure the painful wait. It was about 30 minutes for us, so it's not too bad. But once inside, everything will be worth it still.
ENJOYYY.
Note the operating hours. They are so popular they can afford to take a break. |
Calling for customers on the longggg list of names that we write ourselves. |
We had to wait for about 10 groups before reaching our turn. |
Thankfully the 2nd level is rather spacious. |
Price is very decent. About 250 NTD mostly. |
Free miso soup for you. |
Next up - Salmon sushi. You can choose to have a mixture of sashimi, which I thought we should have gotten instead of only salmon. A mixture would have been nice too. I'll do that next time perhaps. |
Check out the thickness |
Tempura. It must have felt a little sidelined there, cause really, this was the kind of reaction. Salmon came: WAHHHHHH. OMG.... SO BIGG... OMGGGG... Tempura came: wahhh.. looks good. It's true. |
Have you seen salmon-wrapped rice-balls? |
When you spread them open. |
Look at those slabs of salmon. Gosh. |
Probability of return: Definitely
Not only is the sashimi fresh, you could see how huge they are so it's surely worth your money. I will try their Dons and wraps the next time round. Everything above was for the 2 of us. And to be honest we got a little sick towards the end. It's really too much. Eat in moderation and you'll enjoy the experience better I guess!

The sashimi looks really good! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at some of your blog post, I really miss the night market/life in China when I visited a few years ago. Although I never been to Taiwan before, I'm hoping one day I will.
